What AppDeal stores about you, where it lives, and who else can see it.
Draft, pending review. This document has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes accurately what the software does today, and it is not a contract. The highlighted sections must be completed before AppDeal takes any payment.
Who is responsible
The data controller is [legal entity, address and registration number]. Questions and requests go to [contact address].
What is stored
Your account. Your email address, the name and handle you chose, and optionally your country. There is no password: signing in sends a one-time link, so there is no secret of yours for us to hold or leak.
What you do. Listings you save, offers you send, votes you cast and reports you file. Your votes are readable only by you — the totals are public, the ballot is not. A report is visible to you and to moderators, never to the seller.
If you sell. Your listing, and the revenue figures read from the analytics provider you connect. AppDeal stores the outcome of those reads — the figures, when they were taken, and whether the connection is healthy. Access tokens are never written to the database.
What is not stored
No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no cross-site cookies. The only browser storage AppDeal uses is for your saved listings, whether the opening animation has played, and which listings you have already been counted as viewing today.
View counts are kept per listing per day with no identifier attached, so “142 views this week” is a total and cannot be turned back into a list of who read it.
Card details never reach AppDeal. Payments for featured placement are handled entirely by Stripe on their own pages.
Where it lives
In a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase in Ireland (eu-west-1), inside the EU. Access is enforced by the database itself rather than by application code: a row you may not see is not returned to a query at all.
Who else processes it
Supabase — database, authentication, file storage. Stripe — payment for featured placement, if you buy one. Vercel serves the site.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone else. When you make an offer, the seller sees your name, your country, your message and whether your identity has been verified — that is the point of an offer, and it is the only place your details reach another user.
How long
Your account and its data stay until you delete the account. Reports and moderation decisions are kept after that, without your name attached, because a trust record that disappears when its subject leaves is not a record.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to how it is used. Write to [contact address]. You can also complain to the CNIL.
Most of it you can do yourself: your profile is editable in settings, and saved listings, votes and offers can be withdrawn from the pages they live on.
